Our Company, BUS & RV MODIFICATIONS PTY LTD, is based on the Sunshine Coast where we have been modifying buses and coaches for the last 7 years.  We have an extensive and constant client base with Qld Bus Sales, Greyhound and Brisbane Bus Lines preferring to appoint us to refurbish their vehicles at our Caloundra premises.  We also work closely with Accessible Transit Specialist Pty Ltd fitting their wheelchair lifts and restraint systems.  Customised Race Car Trailers are also a speciality and when time permits, we also do raised roof frames and panel work on mobile homes.

Managing Director Daryl Wells has been a coach builder since 1971 with 12 years at Dennings in Brisbane, before starting Northcoast Bus & Coach (NCBC) on the Sunshine Coast with his then business partner Wayne Smith.  Daryl operated this company with Wayne until 1999 when Daryl decided to sell his share of NCBC to Wayne.  Together Daryl and Wayne were at the forefront of coach building by engineering and implementing a roll-over frame which became the most successful roll-over protection in Australia.

Daryl’s production manager at BUS & RV, Gary Strid, is an accomplished coach builder who has been with the company since its inception.  Gary also worked at Dennings and North Coast Bus & Coach.  Furthermore Gary worked at Coachworks in Brisbane for 9 years where for 7 of those years he was the workshop foreman.

We employ qualified coachbuilders to carry out work at our workshop which is rarity in this day.  Our strong team of dedicated coach builders take pride in meeting deadlines which saves down time on our client’s vehicle.
